There is a whole different meaning of a word “collectibles”. Family members Spilger from the town of St.Paul, Texas, have become collectors from pure boredom, and so they started to collect barbed wire. (They probably gathered napkins first). “One day we realized that our marriage is ruled by the monotony,” says Gary Spilger, and confirms that everything in life occurs because of problems in bed. “The woman and I began to devise how to enrich life. We have thought long and then remembered… the barbed wire! And so we created a small collection. In fact, a collection of this American married couple is not at least small – their spiked hobby contains 3000 pieces. In their spare time the exhibition owners travel through America, visiting shops and libraries, looking for illustrations of old ways for binding the barbed wire. They found that worldwide there are about ten thousand collectors of barbed wire, and the original piece of 20 centimeters can reach the price of up to 300 dollars.
